Employment Fees

 

As every client’s needs are different, it is difficult to provide an exact indicator for our costs. We
nevertheless, provide in the table below a general indication of the likely costs that you can expect,
depending on your service requirements.

Should you need our services, then at the outset we will discuss appropriate funding options with you and provide you with an initial estimate of likely overall fees based on your specific circumstances.

We will provide you with an experienced and dedicated employment Solicitor/ Legal Executive. All work is charged on the basis of the time spent at the appropriate hourly rate. These rates currently range from £200.00 to £295.00 an hour, depending on the seniority of the legal advisor engaged.

Settlement Agreement (agreed)£300.00 - £500.00An employer contributes to the cost of this work and our fees are generally capped to the amount of that contribution. We will advise on the terms and suitability of the settlement offered.
Settlement Agreement (negotiated)£300.00 - £1,500.00Negotiating the terms offered by an employer to try to achieve an improved settlement. It may be that an employer will also pay an improved contribution towards these fees.
Initial Consultation£200.00-£295.00A consultation with a qualified legal advisor for up to 1 hour in duration. The fee will depend on the seniority of the legal advisor instructed and the nature and complexity of the issues to be considered.
Advice in relation to
contracts, policies,
strategy, grievance,
disciplinary or other
internal procedures
£500.00 - £2,500.00Guidance in relation to workplace contracts, policies and problems. The fee will vary depending on the nature and complexity of the issues and the procedures involved. If at the end of this process a claim to the Employment Tribunal is advised, there will be additional fees.

Identifying, advising and assisting with a potential claim and representing that claim before the Employment Tribunal. We will assess prospects and whether a claim is suitable for a ‘no win, no fee' agreement and/ or legal expenses insurance. Overall fees will depend on the complexity of the issues and advice from a Barrister may be necessary depending on the circumstances of the claim. We will explore settlement negotiations, identify limitation dates, lodge ACAS conciliation, draft the claim, review the defence and progress the matter to a final Hearing. If a claim is settled prior to final Hearing, then fees may however be lower than those quoted.

Disbursements are costs related to a matter that are payable to third parties, such as Court or Barrister’s fees. The disbursements incurred will depend on the nature and complexity of the claim. A ‘no win, no fee’ agreement only covers fees and will not cover disbursements.
